Sri Lanka Inflation goes High

(NIDAHASA News) Inflation has gone up by 6.9%, Central Bank of Sri Lanka said on report.

Colombo consumer price index (CCPI) for goods and services indicates that inflation increased by the end of February. In January it stood at 6.5 and the increase in February indicates that inflation in Sri Lanka is accelerating points out the Central Bank report.

It also indicates that prices increased 0.2 percent during the month. The February 2010 inflation was the highest since February 2009.
