Online Petition to Release Sarath Fonseka

(NIDAHASA News) The Democratic National Alliance (DNA) launched an online petition today (01) seeking the release of General Sarath Fonseka who is in military custody.
Fonseka cannot be tried under the military law, former Chief Justice Sarath N. Silva said addressing the gathering.
He said that the military law only applies to discipline and punish serving military officers and not those who have retired from service.
Former army chief`s wife Anoma Fonseka also participated the event.
