Marijuana Should be Allowed; Sri Lanka Indigenous Medicine Minister Says

(NIDAHASA News) Government should allow cultivation of Marijuana for medical purposes, Sri Lanka Indigenous Medicine minister Tissa Karaliyadda says.


"This 'banned plant' (Marijuana) is a treasure for tradieational local medicaine" Karaliyadda said.

Foreign countries who banned this plant for us now using it, he added.

"In my foreign tours I saw large Marijuana cultivations using for medical tests" minister said adding that Sri Lanka should allow cultivation of Marijuana under goverment supervison.

Cultivation and usage of Marijuana is illegal in Sri Lanka.
