23 of both LTTE and SLA were Killed in Vavunyia

(NIDAHASA News) At least 23 peoples were killed within past 48 hours by fightings in Vavunyia.
Fifteen LTTE cadres and one Sri Lanka Army (SLA) trooper were killed in Pallikuli, Vavuniya, yesterday (12) Media Center for National Security (MCNS) says. Five SLA troopers were wounded in this fight.
Four LTTE cadres and one SLA trooper were killed by fightings in Pulipankayarkulam, Vavuniya yesterday (12) evening, MCNS says.
Another two LTTE cadres were killed in Ilamarunthankulam, Vavuniya, MCNS claims.
LTTE comments were not available immediately. No independent confirmations available since the area is restricted for journalists.
